Shahana’s emotionally draining experience in Jashnn

    
Shahana Goswami won the hearts of critics and audiences alike with her endearing act in Rock On. She followed her award winning performance with good acts in Rubaru and Firaaq and now she will be seen next in one of her most challenging roles of that of an alcoholic and neurotic lady in Mahesh Bhatt’s Jashnn.

Revealing about her challenging act in Jashnn, Shahana states, “I play Nisha who tries to support her brother Akash (played by Adhyayan Suman), both financially and emotionally. Her brother dreams of becoming a big rock star and my character and Anjana Sukhani’s (she plays his girlfriend) help him to fulfill his dreams. But Nisha is dependant by all means on one man. She is in love with that man despite him being married. Though she desperately wants to get out of this explosive relationship she can’t do that easily. She is an alcoholic who often cries and loudly shouts to vent out her frustrations. My character suffers a lot of hardships.”

Gautam Rode’s comeback on silver screen

    
The model turned actor Gautam Rode is making a come back on the big screen. Gautam had previously acted in a flop flick titled Annarth in the lead role but after not having got any other film offer, stepped into the world of television. He came into limelight with his show Baa Bahu aur Baby on the small screen. This time he is making sure that all his efforts comes to some use and his hard work pays him. Gautam is doing a movie with non-other-then Ram Gopal Verma. We asked Gautam about his sudden disappearance from television, “I am doing a movie with Ram Gopal Verma and I am very busy with that. I am working extra hard on this movie these days. I want to give this project my hundred percent.” When we asked Gautam to tell us more about his movie then Gautam refused and told us that he can’t say much about it now because it would be too early to talk about it.

We hope that this time Gautam’s stars shall shine bright for him and his efforts won’t go waste.   –

Kambakkht Ishq is a Kamal Haasan film remake

    

Akshay Kumar’s next release, Kambakkht Ishq is the remake of a Tamil film starring Kamal Haasan titled, Pammal K. Sambandam (2002). The Tamil film was a big hit down South.

In that film, Kamal Haasan had played the title role and it also starred Simran, Abbas and Sneha. Their roles have been substituted with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Sneha respectively. It was directed by Mouli. In the Tamil original, Kamal enacted the role of a film stuntman while Simran was a doctor in the making. In the Hindi version, Akshay Kumar is a renowned stunt artiste while Kareena Kapoor plays a super model. Pammal K. Sambandam was to have been remade in Hindi by Anees Bazmee for South producer GV Films which had acquired the remaking rights for Rs. 5 lakh.

Now SRK apologises to Gavaskar

    
After apologizing to the Indian barbers for incorporating the word ‘Barber’ in the title of his home production, Billu Barber and subsequently removing it, Shah Rukh Khan has now apologized to Indian cricket’s living legend Sunil Gavaskar for a taunt that he buys his own team if he wanted to run one.

The King Khan before departing for South Africa as the IPL season 2 begins there, said, “I have not said anything against Gavaskar. I just wanted to have breathing space to try something new. I have sent him an apology letter because he was in America that time,”

I am a religious fanatic: Govinda

    
Govinda of late it is said has become a religious fanatic and has been visiting shrines putting his shoots in disarray. He has also feels that disclosing his visits to the shrines will bring some bad omen. Recently the actor made the officials stop all the devotees from entering the temple where he was visiting. The actor when quizzed about it says “Yes it is true I do not people to know that I am visitng a shrine but not for any other reason but because there could be a stampede. I am a religious fanatic I have great faith in god and I perform a lot of pujas.  These moments and trips are good way of being close to god. It is a also a time when I can be with my family.” Says Govinda.

About his forthcoming films he says “Currently I am busy with David Dhawan’s  Do Knot Disturb. “I enjoy working with  him and I owe him a lot of hits.  When we work together it is assured that it is going to be a  laugh riot. The famous actor Arshad Warsi is a fitness freak. He believes that "Running for 45 minutes everyday is must.I also see to it that I have balanced meals at regular intervals five times a day. It is not advisable to keep your stomach empty for longhours at a stretch. It’s a different thing if you are on a fast. Also I feel that you must run for 45 minutes every day to keep yourself healthy and fit. Most importantly it does not cost you anything to do that," advises Arshad.
