Aadesh Shrivastava outraged at Bachchan’s portrayal in Slumdog Millionaire

After watching Slumdog Millionaire, Aadesh Shrivastava has a question for Danny Boyle. “How dare you degrade our national icon Amitabh Bachchan?”
Composer Aadesh Shrivastava has been in and out of the US collaborating with rapper Wyclef Jean.

But now after Slumdog Millionaire, Aadesh says he’s embarrassed to walk on the American streets. “I’m so upset. They’ve started calling Indians ‘ slumdogs’, just like ‘coolie’ was a gaali in Britain. Now in the US I feel slumdog is a gaali for us Indians. Mumbai has given me everything. To see the city being shown as a place of dirt filth and crime only is very humiliating. Even I can make a film on child prostitution and pedophilia. But it won’t get Oscars because I am not a gora.”

Jugaad

Putting together a real-life incident on celluloid isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The sealing issue in Delhi hit headlines, causing tremendous grief and heartburn to people who were affected by it, besides hitting them financially.

Check out armor clad Salman Khan on the sets of Veer

Salman Khan is one of the most talked about Bollywood stars. Though of late his films haven’t been successful at the Box Office, his upcoming venture Veer is one that is being awaited with bated breath. We got some on location stills from the sets of Veer. The images show Sallu looking like a desi ‘Gladiator’ riding high on his horse with his tresses waving in the wind like that of a fair maiden.

The shoot in question took place at the historic Amber Fort which depicts the royal battle between King Gyanendar Singh of Madhaygarh played by Jackie Shroff and Maharana Pratap Singh aka Veer played but obviously by Salman Khan. Looking at the image we are quite literally taken back to the days of yore when warriors were built. With his well chiseled physique and completely different look, Sallu has given the audience yet another reason to watch out for this film.
