My Name Is Khan …Shahrukh and Kajol

By now its common knowledge that after doing all the publicity and promotional drive for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Shah Rukh Khan has embarked along with good friend Karan Johar to Los Angeles for the shooting of his next film My Name Is Khan. The film re-unites the super-hit jodi of SRK and Kajol after a hiatus of nearly 7 years (they were last seen in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001)

However, even before shooting could commence in full swing, the unit of My Name Is Khan has been hit by a roadblock. Some Muslim members from the cast and crew of the film have been denied US visas. Among these include SRK’s personal staff and also actor Aamir Bashir (who was last seen in A Wednesday).

Shahid Kapoor learns a new dance trend

Shahid Kapoor’s spectacular dancing moves are known to all. The actor sure knows how to give a lot of the other dancers a run for their money. Shahid loves to dance and has no reservations whatsoever to experiment with different moves. And now, he has proved it yet again. Yes, Shahid is all set to start a new dancing trend. The actor has adopted a new style of dancing called ‘Krumping’ for Ken Ghosh’s tentatively titled film Yahoo.
Informs a source, “Krumping, is relatively a new urban street dance-form that began in South Central Los Angeles, and is characterized by free, expressive, and highly energetic moves involving the arms and chest. It has become a major part of hip hop dance culture. It involves one-on-one and group dances that involve physical contact, exaggerated movements and playing a certain role based on your desired style of ‘krumping’. It is best described as raw, natural and expressive freedom of body.”
“We all know what a fast and eager learner Shahid is. And even this time, Shahid has left no stone unturned to learn this form of dance. He appreciates the artistic and cultural nuances of the form. He is doing it pretty well and everyone on the set is impressed”, continuous the source.
Shahid is learning the art of Krumping under the guidance of Marty Kudelka who has choreographed the music video of many international celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and JLo to name a few. Marty is choreographing a song for Shahid in the movie. It is a movie about how a person dreams of becoming a big dancer and how he gains success over it after a lot of struggle and effort.

L’Oreal signs Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor’s debut film Saawariya may have sunk without a trace at the B.O. Yet both the critics and audience were unanimous in their words of praise for the tall and pretty actress. Since then, Sonam has been busy shooting for her second film- Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6 where she is paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

This year, Sonam may not have had a single release, yet she has managed to stay in the limelight for one reason or the other. The latest is that Sonam has bagged her first official endorsement deal. According to sources, it is learnt that the young actress will be the brand ambassador for international cosmetic brand L’Oreal and will launch its new range of products targeted at the young generation.

Kahani Ghajini Ki take Ghajini to Court

In an instant-replay version of what happened with Yashraj Films’ Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, the producers of Ghajini woke up on Monday morning to a court summon from the producers one KBC Pictures, claiming that they’ve the rights to remake the Tamil Ghajini and that Aamir’s film is therefore an infringement of their (KBC’s) copyright.

The film titled Kahani Ghajini Ki has an Amitabh Bachchan lookalike in the lead. Hassled and frazzled by the pre-release procedures, Ghajini’s producer Madhu Mantena rushed to court on Monday morning where the honourable judge allowed him to go ahead with the release procedure, arguing why the allegedly aggrieved party waited till a few days before the release of Ghajini to express his grievance. But the producers of Ghajini have been asked to return to court on December 24, a day before the film’s worldwide release.
