Rahul Dev to open a gym in New Delhi

In Bollywood, the name ‘Rahul Dev’ is associated with machismo and versatility. Even though he is not seen that often these days on silver screen, the coming months would witness an array of Rahul’s forthcoming releases.

News has it that Rahul has planned to start a state-of-the-art gym in New Delhi. There are also rumors about his plans to open one in Mumbai, but that will majorly depend on the response he gets from the Delhi branch. According to reliable sources, Rahul has been toying with the idea of this gym for quite some time now, but was not able to go ahead with it fully, since he was tied up with other professional commitments. Minissha Lamba - Ranbir is very shy but once he opens up, he’s a riot

It seems like Minissha Lamba is worried that I’ve been getting to know her too quickly. Her flawless face has already graced the cover of numerous magazines and newspapers after she starred in films like Corporate, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and Dus Kahaniyaan. The delightful Miss Minissha is unabashed in her enthusiasm. And why not? At 23, she is clearly enjoying herself and proving too, that’s she’s got the talent to match the belief that has been shown in her by some top filmmakers. So far, she has played a small but undoubtedly eye catching role in the films I’ve just mentioned but playing the magnificent ‘Mahi’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Yash Raj’s next has proved to be one of the most vivid experiences of her career so far. In this exclusive, the actress gives Bollywood.tv’s Devansh Patel a guided tour of her new film Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bipasha Basu, Ranbir Kapoor, Siddharth Anand, her Patiala dress and her yet-to-be-boyfriend.

Money Hai Toh Honey Hai

David Dhawan and Priyadarshan triggered off a trend — of making brainless comedies — and thus began a wave of leave-your-brains-at-home laughathons. Inspired by the success of these ha-ha-he-he fares, every second film-maker decided to join the bandwagon for that elusive Hit. But, of late, no-brainer comedies have reached a saturation point.

Ganesh Acharya’s MONEY HAI TOH HONEY HAI actually tests the patience of the viewer. Fine, you don’t expect a riveting storyline from a film of this genre, but you definitely expect laughs, don’t you? You expect to be entertained, don’t you? Alas, what you get to see is definitely not good, not even bad, it’s verrry boring!

Kismat Konnection

Simple stories, told in the simplest manner, have been the hallmark of all Aziz Mirza films, right from RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN to CHALTE CHALTE. KISMAT KONNECTION, the veteran’s new outing, is no exception.

The characters we watch on screen are relatable, their problems are the type that we’ve either heard of or experienced ourselves, the love story and the conflict in the tale also comes across so real. Like Mirza’s previous films, KISMAT KONNECTION is also not heavy on your senses. It’s a simple, feel-good fare that charms its way into your heart.

Ganesh Acharya - Govinda is nothing like what he was in the past

They say that you cannot sail in two boats, because there’s a constant fear of drowning. Well, the ace choreographer Farah Khan is one such person who proved it wrong and how! Well, joining the bandwagon is yet another choreographer (read ‘ace choreographer), who took the proverbial directorial plunge with the Manoj Bajpai-Juhi Chawla starrer Swami. We are indeed talking about Ganesh Acharya, who, after having made practically the whole of Bollywood to dance to his tunes, is back with his second directorial venture titled Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, a ‘fullto Mumbaiyya fillum’, as Ganesh would like to put it. Bollywood.tv caught up with this modesty-personified man, who spoke to us in length, including the real reason for making Swami. Read on to find out about Ganesh Acharya’s journey from being a choreographer to Swami and his latest Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. Lights, Camera, Action!

Ganeshji, to begin with, you started your directorial journey in Bollywood with a non-commercial film Swami.
Very true. There was a reason behind me making Swami. That is when Swami was released in 2006, I had 3-4 big budget films (as a choreographer) releasing around the same time. And I was very sure that these films will fare really well at the Box-Office. These films included Lage Raho Munnabhai, Omkara (’Beedi Jalaiye Le’), Rang De Basanti, and Golmaal. I had planned Swami almost 5 years back, right from its screenplay, dialogues, its story, and a lot of things that were related to me and my family. I knew that I was not the only choreographer getting into filmmaking; there have been many before me. I was also aware that Swami was not a commercial film. But putting aside all this, I was really satisfied making Swami, because it was a topic that was (and will forever be) really close to my heart. To put it categorically, Swami was my tribute to my parents. The good part of this film was that the media loved the film so much that it got me so much of critical acclaim which really meant (and it still means) more than anything for me.

Deepika Padukone - I am not in charge of casting for Bachna Ae Haseeno

You can’t be a film old and then get so lucky. First film with SRK’s production, Red Chillies and second with Yash Raj Films. I guess by the time Deepika is ten films old; she would have worked with Indian Film Industry’s top ten production houses. And that is exactly where the problem lies. While the new generation of actors, have exploded themselves like a comet in Bollywood, what remains to be seen is how long they do last in India’s most competitive and fierce professions. Well, Deepika Padukone thinks she will. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood.tv’s Devansh Patel, the dimpled beauty answers my questions to whether Bachna Ae Haseeno will be her boyfriends first big hit. Whether Bipasha and Minissha are a complete mis-match for Ranbir, will she last as long as Aishwarya Rai, what makes the song ‘Khuda Jaane’ so special, whether she will work with SRK again and will she invite me for her wedding. Deepika has the answers for you.

How different is it to be working with your off screen boyfriend on screen?
It doesn’t really make much of a difference because at the end of the day when you’re working and you’re a part of the film, you are not really looking at whether he is your boyfriend or not because you’re in your work space at that moment.
